Much like Sectional Doors, Side Hinged doors have seen an increase in the demand for various designer elements. These elements can provide a sleek and eye catching design, both overlay or inlay with the door design. Stainless steel and coloured elements are available to customise Side Hinged garage doors, creating a truly ‘designer’ look.
Available in a selection of sturdy materials, such as timber and steel, side hinged doors give homeowners easy access to their possessions without exposing the entire garage to would-be thieves. They are the perfect choice for when there are obstructions inside the garage.
There are numerous options for openings such as the conventional 1/2 & 1/2 split, where frequent access is required, the popular 2/3 & 1/3 split is also an ideal solution. The smaller of the two garage doors then becomes a practical personnel door for easy and secure everyday use.
At Westcoast Doors, our side hinged garage doors come in a huge variety of designs, finishes and colours available, with something to suit every property. We supply and install a wide variety of hinged doors from leading manufacturers, so you’re guaranteed to find a garage door that’s right for you.

Yes you can, and they are very well insulated and also very secure because of the double skinned steel panels used to manufacturer.
Often described as ‘luxury’ because the doors are most like a higher quality front entrance door in their build and performance. These doors are perfect for those using their garage as an extra room to their home.
We supply insulated steel side hinged garage doors constructed from 40 -55mm thick double skinned galvanised steel panel sections made to order and manufactured with an aluminium box section sub frame for fixing directly to the garage opening.
Various side hinged garage doors are manufactured in steel, GRP and timber in the UK and for the best security we would recommend double skinned, insulated steel hinged doors,as they are nearly always manufactured with a steel or aluminium sub frame included and combined with door panels between 20 and 51mm thick the overall finished product offers great levels of security.
When the doorset is a factory assembled doorset then the tolerances and all other aspects of the door furniture are all fitted properly and accurately, giving the best overall integrity and strength.
